The idea for Sheet Bot, like so many others, was born in a bar over a beer or two. So often those ideas seem less convincing in the morning. In this case it still felt very reasonable to wonder why we couldn’t find a grammar checker for spreadsheets. So we built one.

Sheet Bot is of course not our main product, but an experiment we’re ready to share with the world. It will tell you what the goal of the spreadsheet is, what the major calculations the sheet performs and will warn you about a number of issues and problems commonly encountered in spreadsheets. Issues ranging from badly organized data to formulas referring to the wrong ranges or the suspicious mixing of data types. It’s a work in progress, but we think it shows promise.
